Last year, a Google employee told me that they could have easily and successfully included face recognition technology in the “google goggles” apps for smartphones, and chose not to for reasons of creepiness.
Also, we’re going to see a lot more people livestreaming constantly. Where I live, council employees now have wearable cameras recording constantly. The real panopticon gargoyles are finally here.
